Introducing PayPress: A Simple Way to Accept Payments on WordPress

I’m excited to introduce PayPress (opens in a new tab), a WordPress payment plugin designed to make accepting payments through your website simple, straightforward, and affordable.
PayPress was built for website owners, freelancers, small businesses, and developers who need a way to collect payments through WordPress without turning their website into a full e-commerce store.
What is PayPress?
PayPress is a WordPress plugin that allows you to create payment options on your website and securely process payments using Stripe.
Instead of installing and configuring a complete e-commerce platform when all you need is a way to collect a payment, PayPress focuses specifically on making the payment process easier.
Whether you're collecting payment for a service, charging a customer a set amount, accepting payment for a digital offering, or simply need a clean checkout experience on your WordPress website, PayPress gives you the tools to do it.
Built Around Stripe
PayPress works with Stripe for payment processing, which means PayPress itself does not store customers' credit card information.
Payments are processed through Stripe's payment infrastructure, while PayPress provides the WordPress interface and functionality needed to connect your website to the payment process.
Customers can complete their payment online, and website owners can manage the PayPress side of the experience directly through WordPress.
No PayPress Transaction Fee
One of the ideas behind PayPress is simple pricing.
PayPress does not charge an additional percentage of every transaction you process.
You'll still pay the normal payment-processing fees charged by Stripe, but PayPress doesn't take another percentage of your sales on top of those processing fees.
Designed to Stay Simple
There are some excellent e-commerce platforms available for WordPress, but not every website needs a complete online store.
Sometimes you just need to get paid.
PayPress was designed around that idea.
Rather than trying to replace a full e-commerce platform, PayPress provides a more focused solution for WordPress users who primarily need payment functionality.
That makes it useful for businesses and individuals selling services, accepting customer payments, building simple checkout experiences, or adding payment functionality to an existing WordPress website.
One License, Up to Three Websites
PayPress is available for $59 per year, and a single license can be activated on up to three websites.
That means one subscription can cover multiple WordPress projects without requiring a separate PayPress purchase for every website.
The annual license includes access to PayPress updates and supports up to three active website installations.
Built Independently
PayPress is an independently developed project built specifically for WordPress.
A significant amount of work has gone into not only the plugin itself, but also the infrastructure behind it, including license activation, license management, customer provisioning, software delivery, and automated licensing emails.
The goal is to continue improving PayPress based on how people actually use it rather than filling it with features simply for the sake of having more features.
Try PayPress for Free
PayPress also offers a free version for users who want to try the plugin before purchasing a license.
There’s no commitment required, making it an easy way to get started with PayPress and see how it works on your WordPress website before deciding whether PayPress Pro is right for you.
PayPress Pricing
$59 per year
One PayPress license can be used on up to three WordPress websites.
There are no additional PayPress transaction fees. Standard Stripe processing fees still apply.
What's Next for PayPress?
PayPress will continue to evolve.
Future development will focus on improving the payment experience, expanding useful functionality, maintaining compatibility with WordPress and Stripe, and responding to feedback from people actually using the plugin.
If you run a WordPress website and want a straightforward way to accept payments without building an entire e-commerce store around the process, PayPress was built with exactly that use case in mind.
